Christmas!

Christmas is right around the corner! I am so excited! For both Christmas and OneThing! Then I'm planning on staying at IHOP a couple extra days refreshing in the prayer room, looking for a place to live, and hanging out with a few people. Can't wait!

Movie Weekend!

While cleaning out my wallet the other day I discovered I had an expiring $20 gift card to Block Buster. So a few friends and I went and rented some movies.

I just finished Superman Returns. It was pretty good. I enjoyed it. Of course my favorite part was the "chick flick" ish part which I have encluded via link:

God spoke to me lots in this movie. First of all, the scene I linked is very romantic and super cute! I was reminded a countless number of times that Jesus is the true superman. And he is the greatest romantic.

Lois tells Superman: "ya know, Richard (a guy she's seeing) is a pilot and takes me up all the time" to which Superman replies "not like this"
This was a smack in the face to me. Often times I'll compare earthly guys to Jesus being like Lois saying things like "this boy does all these great things for me" when in all actuality Jesus has done billions more for me than any earthly boy would or could ever do. There's no comparison.

Then when Lois is scared as her and Superman are flying over the city. I completely thought of Peter on the water with Jesus.

Then throughout the movie their were savior inuendos to Superman. I.E.

SM - Listen, what do you hear? (above the city)
Lois - Nothing
SM - I hear everything. (to Lois) You wrote that the world doesn't need a savior but everyday I heare people crying for one.

Sufice to say I enjoyed this movie. :)

A PRAYER FOR FINAL EXAMS
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not flunk;
He keepeth me from lying down when I should be studying.
He leadeth me beside the water cooler for a study break.
He restoreth my faith in study guides.
He leads me to better study habits
For my grade's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of borderline grades,
I will not have a nervous breakdown For Thou art with me.
My prayers and my friends, they comfort me.
Thou givest me answers in moments of blankness;
Thou anointest my head with understanding.
My test paper runneth over with questions I recognize.
Surely passing grades and flying colors shall follow me.
All the days of my examination,
And I shall not have to dwell in this university forever,
AMEN!!!!!

Breath of Heaven!

This year I was asked to be Mary in our Christmas pagent. I'm singing "Breath of Heaven" by Amy Grant and riding on a real donkey named Susie. I even convinced Daniel to be Joseph. This is going to be the best Christmas pagent ever. No pun intended. Pictures to come at a later time.

The other gift I was expecting turned out to be a printer/scanner which is a true miracle because now I can print and scan like the pros. :)

More updates to come soon.
